JourneyEd.com, Inc. is Awarded the Texas DIR Contract to Provide Software and Technology to Education
The Contract Will Enable the Purchase of Academic Priced Software & Technology Products to Public Education and other Public Entities in Texas.
Dallas, Texas, November 12, 2015 – JourneyEd.com, Inc. has announced that they will now provide software and technology products for the Texas DIR contract, allowing Texas-based public education and other public entities to purchase these products at significant discounts below retail prices.
Through this contract, JourneyEd.com will offer computing software & products from major brands to include Adobe, ASUS and Leapfrog. The contract leverages JourneyEd.com’s expertise in offering technology products to the education markets for over 20 years. Additionally, JourneyEd.com has sub-contracted with HiED Inc. which is a “Historically Underutilized Business” (HUB). This partnership offers an advantage to Texas buyers seeking to meet HUB spending targets. Funds spent on technology products through JourneyEd.com and HiED will largely remain in Texas.
Utilizing an experienced account management and support staff along with proprietary technology and a vast partnership network, JourneyEd.com enables scalable, faster, and more cost effective solutions for customers. JourneyEd.com is unique when compared to traditional technology resellers that typically serve several market verticals. This can create conflicts when resources are allocated and education customers often are given less priority than larger corporate customers. JourneyEd.com focuses solely on providing technology solutions to the education market and has done so for over two decades. As the education market’s demand for technology increases, JourneyEd.com is well positioned to service this market with a wide array of products, services, and solutions.
“Given JourneyEd.com’s focus on education for over two decades, we believe we bring a unique offering of knowledge, selection and experience to Texas-based public education organizations in need of technology products. We expect to expand our DIR contract offerings over time to more fully support the technology needs of Texas based public education entities” said Tim Lilly, President of JourneyEd.com.
